About J&J
A family Angus program built one good cow at a time, in some of the toughest forage country in the mid-South.
Functional cattle for real-world country.
OUR STORY
Jason & Joy Jackson
J&J Angus Farms has raised registered Angus cattle near Mammoth Spring, Arkansas since 2000. What started as a handful of good females has grown into a maternal cowherd with real depth of pedigree — without ever losing sight of what actually matters on this kind of ground.
Our country is fescue country: the rolling, timbered edge of the Ozarks, where the grass fights back and only the right kind of cow holds up. That environment does the culling for us. The cattle that stay are the ones that breed back, flesh easy, and raise a good calf every single year.
We breed Angus for the people who have to live with them — commercial cattlemen who need bulls and females that work without babysitting.

“Pretty doesn’t pay the feed bill in August. Functional does — and functional is what lasts.”

THE ENVIRONMENT
Raised on Fescue, Proven on Grass
Our cattle aren’t pampered into looking good. They earn their keep on the same forage our customers run — which is exactly why they hold up when they leave here.
